A super easy, super cute ottoman tray that anyone can create! If you are looking for a fast, chic way to spruce up a room. I gotcha covered! Here’s how to make one of your own with 5 simple items and 5 simple steps!
These trays can go anywhere from $100-$200 bucks! Which is nuts when you factor how easy they are to create yourself. We have found not only an affordable way to create them or at least find them way cheaper than expected. You can find several of the materials around the house, nails, wood, paint brush..so this could save you some money if so.
Things you will need: Pallet wood, paint, paint brush, nails and handles...That's it!
Find some pallet wood. A lot of the time you can find this free or almost free. If you can't find any, you can always purchase reclaimed wood.
I like 9x12 sized trays. Cut 3 boards the same size for bottom 12”. Cut 2 sizes 12”. Cut other two sides 9”.
Start building your tray. Watch the length of the nails. If they are too long you will have to saw them off.
Use stain brush to start painting. I like the cheap stain brushes because it gives the trays a worn look. I love using Americana Decor Art Acrylic Paint for my craft projects. It honestly coats perfect! I love using wrought.
Add handles, and you're DONE!
